Seems like my first idea for a 505 project didn't really pan out, so after many hours in the library racking my brain, I am proposing different problem which will be more product oriented. Since I love riding motorcycles and i used to commute through San Francisco on one, I have encountered numerous problems....
problem statement: Although there is an increase in motorcycle ridership in San Francisco, the traffic light sensor system at busy intersections cannot be activated by motorcycles, leaving them stranded at lighted intersections.
purpose statement: The purpose of this study was to research and develop a vehicle recognition system so motorcycles can activate the traffic light sensors.
so there it is...hopefully it'll be good enough. For everyone reading this, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I am thinking about not limiting my scope to just motorcycles, but to include bicycles as well. So now there "is an increase in two-wheeled transportation in..."

Changes Changes!!
After uploading my first set of problem statements, I realized i really don't like them. I have been working on a new set of problem statements and hopefully I will have them up soon. Also hopefully they will be much better and much more interesting.....another update to come soon hopefully.

Just A lil' Somthin' Somthin'
Hi my name is Elliot Wong and here is a little about me....
Well you already know my name is Elliot, but here are somethings i bet you did not know. I am a student at San Francisco State University (SFSU) in the Design and Industry (DAI) department. I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Science of Industrial Technology with emphasis on product development and manufacturing processes. I chose this major because i am interested in the way products work and all the thought that goes along with designing and building a particular product in a particualar way. My interests in product design are influenced by a variety of areas, mainly contemporary architecture and the modern, urban lifestyle. I like the cleanliness, simplicity, and functionality of everything, while being extremely aesthetic at the same time; to me it is the quad-fecta of a complete design.

In the near future i see myself being as uncertain about the future as i am now. I think that after i graduate i would like to work for a small-production firm which helps to design or produce (or both) items for clients. Although i would also like to go back to school and continue taking classes to refine my skills and hopefully learn new ones. As for now my future is undecided except for graduation this winter.
keywords to describe me: sensitive, hard-working, professional/immature (depending on the day), fun-loving, friendly, goofy
